Petzl The RIG is a compact self-locking rappelling device designed primarily for professional rope access workers. It has an ergonomic handle that allows comfortable control of the descent. The AUTO-LOCK system allows easy positioning at the workstation without the need to manipulate the handle or secure the tool with a knot. Once secured, the rope can be tightened without having to manipulate the handle. The safety latch allows the rope to be installed without having to unhook the means from the carabiner and harness, making it easier to circumnavigate the progressive anchor points. An integrated stainless steel plate protects the friction surface of the blocker body from punctures.
