The CAMP Safety DRUID is a lightweight and compact lowering brake with automatic locking for work at height and rescue forces. The brake is designed for static ropes with a diameter of 9.9 - 11 mm. A high level of safety is ensured by the "anti-panic" function, which automatically locks the brake in the event of too much pressure on the trigger lever and thus immediately stops the lowering or lowering. The body and lever are made of solid forged aluminium alloy. The moving parts are precision cast stainless steel. The arrangement of the internal cam mechanism is patented and offers a very gentle control of the rope together with a gentle slip in case of catching a fall, thus saving the rope and increasing its service life. Rope feeding during belaying is facilitated by a protrusion for the right index finger, located on the movable part of the cam near the belaying eye. Simply open the cam with the pointer and quickly feed a longer piece of rope. In case of an accidental fall into such a loose cam, the belayer has no chance to hold the cam loose with one finger, the cam is immediately retracted when the rope is tensioned and prevents it from slipping. The steel eyelet serves to attach the lowering brake to a fixed point and prevents it from dropping to the ground.
