The innovative moving fall arrester Petzl ASAP is designed for use on belay rope. It serves to catch a fall, when slipping or going down too fast. It also locks when reflexively grasped by the hands in the event of a fall. It works on both vertical and inclined rope. It moves along the rope (up and down) without the need for any operator. Easily clips/unclips to any place on the belay rope. It is used on static rope with a diameter of 10 to 13mm (EN 12841 type A).
