Fenix HL45R

The Fenix HL45R zoomable rechargeable headlamp delivers a luminous flux of up to 1000 lumens (ANSI) and a range of up to 220 meters and a function for touchless on and off. The Gesture-sensing function allows you to turn the light off and on by waving your hand in front of the headlamp (the function can be deactivated). You can keep your hands free of mud, oils or anything else while you work and the luminaire stays clean at all times. Power is provided by a Li-ion battery with a capacity of 1900 mAh, which is charged via the USB-C connector directly in the headlamp. The battery can be removed and replaced with three regular AAA batteries in an emergency (not rechargeable in the headlamp). The light source is the modern LED Luminus SFT-25R and its light is directed by special TIR (Total Internal Reflection) optics with the possibility of adjusting the width of the light cone(zoom function). In addition, it also has a red LED OSRAM GR QSSPA1.23, which achieves an output of up to 130 lumens.

A total of 8 power modes are available, including a red flash mode for crisis situations. Despite the adjustable optics, the headlamp retains its IP66 waterproof rating, so it can withstand heavy rain without problems. The headlamp strap is equipped with reflective elements that ensure good omnidirectional visibility when moving on the road. Thanks to its features, the Fenix HL45R headlamp is suitable for work use, hiking, search and rescue work, as well as a headlamp for running, camping, a headlamp for fishermen and other activities.

All headlamp parameters (luminous flux, battery life, waterproofness, range, and shock resistance) are measured in accordance with ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009.

Use

There may be an insulating cap on the battery from the factory. Remove it before first use.

On, off and mode switching - when the rotary switch is in the locked position, the headlamp is switched on by turning the switch. In the second position it switches to white light mode, turning to the third position switches to red light mode. The power modes in each position are cycled by pressing a button on the side of the rotary switch. Holding the button for 0.5 seconds will turn the headlamp off. If the headlamp is unlocked and switched off with the side button, it is switched on again by holding the side button for 0.5 seconds.

Headlamp gesture control - When the headlamp is on and gesture sensing is activated, wave your hand in the sensing range in front of the headlamp to temporarily turn it off, and wave your hand again to turn it back on. *When the headlamp is switched on and the gesture sensing function is activated, hold the side electronic switch for 0.5 seconds to switch the lamp off. He will not respond to any movement surgery after this event.

Turn the gesture sensing function on and off - to turn the function on, press and hold the electronic switch for 6 seconds, the headlamp will flash red twice to indicate that the function is enabled. To disable the function, hold the side switch again for 6 seconds, the headlamp will flash red eight times, indicating that the function is deactivated.

Note on the gesture sensing feature:

1. The sensing range is approximately 10 cm in front of the headlamp and may vary slightly depending on the material and color of the subject, ambient light, the brightness of the selected output, and the speed of the wave.
2. If there are other objects in front of the headlamp in the sensing range, the lamp can also be switched on or off.
3. The gesture sensing function only controls the light on and off and does not change modes.
4. When the gesture sensing function is activated, a wave of the hand will only turn the light off temporarily. At the moment, the headlamp is in a low power standby state. If there is no activity for more than two hours, the headlamp automatically switches off from standby and then cannot be switched on with a wave of the hand. To switch on, press and hold the electronic switch for 0.5 seconds or turn the switch.

Memory for last set power mode - if the headlamp has been switched off with the side switch, it has a memory and will turn on in the last set power mode. With the exception of the highest white light mode, it will instead turn on in the second highest mode.

Battery indication - After a short press of the button (the headlamp must be switched off), the LED battery indicator is activated. Four lit LEDs mean the battery is 80-100% charged, three lit 60-80%, two lit 40-60%, one lit 20-40%, and one flashing that the battery is less than 20% charged. This function is only available with the original ARB-LP1900 battery.

Charging

• Fold off the dust cover and plug the USB Type-C charging cable into the charging port of the headlamp, after charging is complete, put the dust cover back on to ensure waterproof and dustproof.
• During charging, four indicators flash from left to right, four permanently on to indicate that charging is complete.
• The normal charging time for a fully discharged headlamp with a 5 V/1 A USB adapter is 3 hours.
• During charging, the headlamp can only be used in low mode.

Notice

• Do not disassemble the sealed parts yourself, this will violate the warranty.
• Use only the original Li-ion ARB-LP1900 battery, if disposable AAA batteries are used, do not attempt to charge them in the headlamp.
• If the headlamp is flickering, not switching to higher power modes, or not lighting up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
  • The battery is dead - charge it or replace it.
  • The contacts inside the headlamp are dirty - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.

Warranty

Warranty of five years for the headlamp and two years for the battery.
