Fenix HM23 V2.0
The compact LED headlamp Fenix HM23 V2. 0 offers a luminous flux of up to 300 lumens (ANSI) and an afterglow of 88 meters. It uses a single AA pencil battery to power it, with which it achieves a battery life of up to 100 hours in the lowest mode (more than 4 days). The light source is the top white LED Luminus SST-20 and a pair of red LEDs. The all-metal construction ensures high durability, optimal cooling and is also fully waterproof according to IP68 standard up to a depth of 2 meters underwater. The practicality of the headlamp is enhanced by the ability to remove the light from the head holder and use it as a small pocket flashlight. In addition, the headlamp is equipped with a steel removable buckle, so you can easily clip it to your pocket, belt or any strap. The end of the lamp is magnetic, so it can be easily attached to anything iron. The headlamp offers a total of three power modes in the white light mode and electronics with the function of prolonging the endurance, in the 300 and 50 lumens modes gradually reduces the power to achieve a longer duration of light. The red light can be triggered in steady light or flash mode (both 5 lumens).
Very decent parameters, low weight of only 86 grams (including the alkaline battery) and a favourable price predestine the HM23 V2.0 for a wide range of sports, leisure, work and casual activities. It is suitable for evening road runs, camping, hiking, fishing and hunting. It will also serve you as a standby car torch for unplanned situations and thanks to its high durability, it is also suitable as a working headlamp for harsh conditions.
All luminaire parameters (luminous flux, battery life, waterproofness, range, and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009.
Parameters of the headlamp Fenix HM23 V2.0
- It uses powerful LED Luminus SST-20 with a lifetime of 50000 hours.
- Three white light modes:
- measured with the included alkaline battery: 300 lumens (5.3 hours) -> 50 lumens (11.5 hours) -> 3 lumens (100 hours)
- measured with USB AA battery ARB-L14-2200U (not included): 300 lumens (9 hours) -> 50 lumens (14 hours) -> 3 lumens (90 hours)
- Two red light modes:
- measured with included alkaline battery: 5 lumens steady light (17 hours) -> 5 lumens flashing (34 hours)

- Smooth light cone with a range of up to 88 metres (1930 cd)
- Electronics with function of prolonging the illumination time (gradual power reduction) and protection against reverse insertion of batteries.
- It uses one pencil ("pencil") battery (type AA - alkaline, lithium or rechargeable NiMH). These batteries are cheap and widely available. It is also compatible with the USB-C AA battery ARB-L14-2200U.
- The Energizer L91 Ultimate Lithium pencil batteries (especially suitable for extreme conditions and expeditions) provide long battery life.
- The lamp has a memory and always switches on in the last set mode (applies to both white and red light).
- Magnetic end cap, the headlamp can be attached to anything iron.
- Protection against reverse battery insertion (reverse polarity).
- The cleverly designed holder also functions as a buckle if you take the headlamp off the strap.
- Comfortable perforated strap with reflective elements.
- Convenient control with one electronic switch on the side of the headlamp.
- The headlamp can be tilted in the holder in a wide range and thus set the desired direction of light.
- Made of aerospace hardened aluminium.
- Shock-resistant to falls from a height of 2 metres.
- Weight 86.3 grams (incl. alkaline battery).
- Headlamp dimensions: 7,36 cm x 3,6 cm x 3 cm (incl. holder).
- Dustproof and waterproof to IP68 standard (tested underwater at a depth of 2 meters).
- Includes headlamp, disposable alkaline battery and spare o-ring.
- The headlamp can be purchased with a USB-C battery Fenix ARB-L14-2200U, a case Fenix APB- 20 , APB- 30 and a set black straps AFH- 02 without reflective elements. Suitable for hunting, military or police, for example.
Use
Unscrew the battery tube cap. Insert the battery with the plus pole towards the headlamp, the minus towards the cap.
The off headlamp is switched to the last used white light mode by holding the button for 0.5 seconds.
The off headlamp is switched to the last used red light mode by pressing the button twice quickly.
The headlamp is switched off by holding the button for 0.5 seconds.
As long as the headlamp is switched on, the power modes can be cyclically switched by short presses of the button in the sequence 3 - 50 - 300 lumens (when switched on to white light) or red 5 lumens - red blinking (when switched on to red light). The lamp has a memory and always switches on in the last set mode (applies to both white and red light).
Low battery warning - if the battery voltage drops below the set level, the headlamp will automatically switch to a lower mode until it reaches the lowest power mode. After reaching the lowest power, the headlamp flashes 3 times every 5 minutes to remind you to change the battery.
Headlamp Lock - When the headlamp is off, press and hold the side switch for 3 seconds, the headlamp will flash four times in red mode to indicate the locked state. It is unlocked by holding the button again for 3 seconds. Unintentional switching on of the headlamp can also be prevented by loosening the battery cap by about a quarter turn.
Notice
- Do not disassemble the sealed parts yourself, this will violate the warranty.
- Remove the battery from the luminaire if you will not be using it for a long time or if it is discharged. Otherwise, especially with disposable batteries, the headlamp may leak and be damaged.
- If the headlamp blinks, does not switch to higher modes or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
- The battery is almost dead - replace it.
- The battery tube cap is loose, tighten it.
- The electrical contacts are dirty - clean them with a cotton bud dipped in alcohol.
