Fenix HM60R

Product description

The Fenix HM60R Headlamp is a high performance rechargeable headlamp that offers up to 1200 lumens of light in the main reflector with a range of 116 meters. The second reflector with up to 350 lumens has a very wide and smooth light path and a neutral white light tint. The advantage of this shade is a more natural and contrasting colour rendering in the field. The control of the two LEDs is independent of each other and the use of the headlamp is thus very simple (the cones cannot be combined, however). The headlamp also has a red light with a power of 5 lumens. Also included is a rechargeable 18650 Li-ion battery with a capacity of 2600 mAh, which is charged directly in the headlamp via the USB-C connector. In addition, the headlamp in 130 and 350 lumens modes of the remote reflector offers a special function called "FREQUENCY SENSING", which detects movement and can automatically adjust the power to the selected value according to the running speed (frequency of steps). It is therefore suitable for night running, cross-country skiing, hiking, fishing, caving and work use. The all-metal construction ensures high durability, optimal cooling and is also fully waterproof according to IP68 standard up to a depth of 2 meters underwater.

All luminaire parameters (luminous flux, battery life, waterproofness, range, and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009.

Parameters of rechargeable headlamp Fenix HM60R:
- It uses a powerful Cree XP-G2 LED with neutral tint, a Luminus SST-40 LED with daylight white tint and two complementary red Everlight 2835 LEDs, all with a 50,000-hour light lifetime.
- Remote reflector: 1200 lumens (2 hours) -> 350 lumens (8 hours) -> 130 lumens (18 hours) -> 30 lumens (54 hours).
- Wide reflector: 350 lumens (8 hours) -> 70 lumens (24 hours) -> red 5 lumens (100 hours) -> red SOS signal 5 lumens (200 hours).
- Luminous flux and dwell times are measured with the included 2600 mAh Li-ion 18650 battery.
- The long-range reflector produces a light cone with a range of 116 metres (3400 cd), the wide reflector shines up to 33 metres (268 cd) and the red light has a range of 5 metres (7 cd).
- Electronics with digital regulation, reverse battery insertion protection and overheating protection.
- It uses one rechargeable 18650 Li-ion battery with a capacity of 2600 mAh, which is included in the package. Two CR123A lithium can also be used in an emergency.
- Memory of the last power mode set (only in the remote reflector).
- The headlamp can be rotated in the holder over a wide range to set the desired direction of light.
- Made of solid aluminium alloy with a hard to scratch surface - Type III hard anodized.
- Waterproof to IP68 standard (tested underwater at a depth of 2 meters).
- Dimensions of the headlamp: 8,5 cm x 4,5 cm x 4,5 cm.
- Weight 157 grams (including battery and strap).
- Shock-resistant to falls from a height of 2 metres.
- Tempered ultra clear glass lens with anti-reflective surface.
- Included is a headlamp, Fenix 18650 2600 mAh battery, USB-C cable, head straps and a spare o-ring.
- The headlamp can be purchased with a case Fenix APB-20, Fenix APB-30, a USB mains adapter and a USB car adapter.
- For easy attachment to the helmet, the Fenix ALG-03 mount can be purchased.

Application:
- There may be an insulating cap on the battery inside the luminaire at the factory. Remove it from the battery before first use.
- The off headlamp is switched on to the last used remote reflector mode by holding the button for 0.5 seconds (except when switched off in the highest mode, then the next time it is switched on in the second highest mode).
- The switched off headlamp is switched to the last used wide reflector mode by pressing the button twice quickly.
- The headlamp is switched off by holding the button for 0.5 seconds.
-When the headlamp is switched on, it is possible to switch between the main and wide reflector by holding the button for 1.2 seconds. It is not possible to run both reflectors at the same time.
- When the headlamp is switched on, the power modes can be switched cyclically by short presses of the button in the sequence 30 - 130 - 350 - 1300 lumens (when the main headlamp is switched on). The lamp has a memory for the remote reflector and will always turn on in the last set mode (except when turned off in the highest mode, then the next time it will turn on in the second highest mode). With the wide reflector on, short button presses can be used to cycle through the power modes in the sequence 5 lumen red light - 5 lumen white light - 70 lumen - 350 lumen - 5 lumen red SOS signal. For the wide reflector, the lamp also has a memory and always switches on in the last set mode.

Frequency Sensing - this feature automatically adjusts power according to the running speed in the 130 and 350 lumen modes on the remote reflector. The standard headlamp beam is set at 150 steps per minute. At lower speeds, the power itself will gradually decrease to 70% and at higher speeds it will increase the power up to 150% of normal.

Indication of the battery charge status: after a short press of the button (the headlamp must be switched off), the LED indicator of the battery charge status in the button is activated. Green light indicates that the battery is 85-100% charged, flashing green light at 50-85%, red light 25-50%, flashing red light less than 25%.

Locking the headlamp against unwanted switching on: loosen the battery cap of the headlamp by a quarter turn, this breaks the electrical contact and the headlamp cannot be switched on. The button can also be locked electronically - hold the button down for 3 seconds when the headlamp is switched off. The lamp flashes red when locked. To unlock, hold the button again for 3 seconds.

Overheating protection: if the temperature of the headlamp exceeds 55°C, it automatically starts to reduce the power in gradual steps until the temperature stabilizes. Once the temperature drops below 55°C, the highest power modes can be used again.

Low battery alert: If the battery voltage drops below the set level, the headlamp will automatically switch to lower power modes. If the headlamp is already switched to the lowest power mode and the battery is critically low, the indicator in the button will flash red. However, the headlamp will continue to shine until the battery is fully discharged. Note: the low battery warning is calibrated only on the voltage of rechargeable Li-ion batteries.

Charging
Unscrew the waterproof nut on the side that covers the USB-C connector. Plug the USB-C charging cable into the headlamp and the other end into the USB connector on your computer, USB power adapter or USB car adapter. Alternatively, any mobile phone charger with a USB-C connector can be used for charging. The side button lights red while charging and turns green when fully charged. Charging time for a fully discharged battery takes about 3 hours. The Li-ion battery used does not suffer from memory effect, so the headlamps can be recharged at any time. After charging, tighten the waterproof nut again.

Notice
- Do not disassemble the sealed parts yourself, this will violate the warranty.
- If disposable CR123A batteries are used, do not attempt to charge them in the headlamp.
- Remove the batteries from the lamp if you will not be using it for a long time or if the batteries are already dead. Otherwise, some lower quality batteries may damage the headlamp.
- If the headlamp blinks, does not switch to higher power modes, or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
- Batteries are almost dead - charge or replace them.
- The headlamp cap is loose - tighten it.
- The electrical contacts are dirty - clean them with a cotton bud dipped in alcohol.
- Warranty five years on the headlamp, two years on the battery.
