The Fenix HM65R-T rechargeable headlamp features a lightweight magnesium alloy construction, high water and drop resistance, a unique dual reflector design and a total output of up to 1500 lumens. One reflector produces a well-focused light beam with a range of up to 170 meters, and the other reflector has a very wide and smooth light trail. The luminous flux of the driving beam is up to 1300 lumens, the wide cone reflector offers a maximum output of 400 lumens and a neutral light tint. The control of both LEDs is independent of each other, the light from both reflectors can be freely combined to achieve a luminous flux of up to 1500 lumens (when both reflectors are switched on at the same time, their max. output is 1150 + 350 lumens). Both the main beam and the wide beam offer three lighting modes. One 18650 Li-ion battery with a capacity of 3400 mAh is used for power, which is included in the package and is charged via a modern USB-C connector directly in the headlamp. In case of emergency, the headlamp can also be powered by two disposable CR123A batteries.

The headlamp is made of magnesium alloy, which is one third lighter than aluminium. Its design is fully dustproof and waterproof to a depth of 2 meters according to IP68 standard and also shockproof against drops from a height of 2 meters. In addition, the headlamp is equipped with an innovative function of prolonged endurance. With prolonged use of individual light modes, the headlamp gradually reduces power in small increments to achieve longer light duration. However, the reduction in performance is not as significant as with the older HM65R headlamp. The optional light cone shape makes this model one of the best and most versatile rechargeable headlamps on the market.

The novelty of this model is the quick tightening system of the strap with the rotary wheel, which is not only fast, but also very convenient. All luminaire parameters (luminous flux, battery life, waterproofness, range, and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009.

Headlamp parameters Fenix HM65R-T:
- The light source in the driving reflector is a white LED Luminus SST40, the source in the wide reflector is a Cree XP-G2 S3 with a neutral light tint, both with a lifetime of 50000 hours of illumination.
- Remote spotlight: 1300 lumens (4 hours) -> 400 lumens (12 hours) -> 130 lumens (24 hours)
- Wide reflector: 400 lumens (12 hours) -> 70 lumens (33 hours) -> 5 lumens (300 hours).
- The long-range reflector produces a light cone with a range of 170 metres (7261 cd), the wide reflector shines up to 54 metres (737 cd).
- The headlamp comes with a rechargeable 18650 Li-ion battery with a capacity of 3400mAh.
- Any rechargeable Li-ion battery Fenix 18650 from our range can be purchased as a replacement battery.
- Alternatively, two disposable CR123A lithium batteries can be used for power (do not try to recharge them in the headlamp).
- Due to the mechanical protection against reverse polarity, the battery must have the plus pole exposed. Older batteries Fenix with a flat plus terminal cannot be used.

Using the headlamp Fenix HM65R-T:
- There may be a black insulating cap on the battery from the factory. Remove it from the battery before first use.
- The high beam reflector is switched on by holding down the right button (approx. 0.5sec), the wide beam reflector is switched on by holding down the left button (0.5sec). The headlamp always switches to the lowest power mode. The light functions are switched by briefly pressing the corresponding button. Both spotlights can be switched on at the same time.
- Indication of the battery charge status - after a short press of any button (the headlamp must be switched off), the LED indicator of the battery charge status between the buttons is activated. Four lit LEDs mean the battery is 80-100% charged, three lit LEDs 60-80%, two 40-60%, one 20-40% and one flashing LED means the battery is less than 20% charged.
- The control buttons can be locked to prevent spontaneous switching on, e.g. when transporting in luggage - in the off state, press both buttons and hold them for min 3 seconds, then the headlamp flashes to indicate locking. To unlock, both buttons must be held down again for three seconds.
- Overheating protection - if the temperature of the headlamp exceeds 65°C, it will automatically start to reduce power in gradual steps until the temperature stabilizes. As soon as the temperature drops below 65°C, the output will gradually increase again.
- Low battery warning - when the voltage drops below a certain threshold, the headlamp automatically switches to a lower power mode, if the battery status indicator starts flashing while the light is on, the battery is almost dead.
- Charging - remove the USB-C connector cover and plug in the included charging cable, plug the other end of the cable into a computer, power bank or USB mains or car adapter (not included). During charging, status LEDs show the charging progress. When charging is complete, all four will remain lit. Charging a fully discharged battery takes about 2.5 hours.
- Use the rotary wheel to adjust the length of the head strap - to tighten the strap, squeeze the wheel and turn it clockwise. To loosen the strap, pull the wheel out and loosen the strap.

Warning:
- Do not disassemble the sealed parts yourself, this will violate the warranty.
- Use only high quality Li-ion 18650 batteries, if using disposable CR123A batteries, do not try to charge them in the headlamp.
- If the headlamp blinks, does not switch to higher power modes, or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
- The battery is dead - charge or replace it.
- The contacts inside the battery case are clogged - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
- Warranty five years on the headlamp, two years on the battery.
