The Fenix HM71R Headlamp is a high performance rechargeable headlamp that offers up to 2700 lumens (ANSI). The headlamp is equipped with two light sources, in the long-distance reflector there is a LED Luminus SFT-70, which illuminates up to 230 meters. The second, wide reflector is equipped with a Luminus SST-20 LED with neutral white light and a high colour rendering quality index CRI 90 (Colour Rendering Index) of 500 lumens, which has a very wide and smooth light footprint. It is powered by a single rechargeable Li-ion battery type 21700 with a capacity of 5000 mAh, which is charged directly in the headlamp via the USB-C connector. An indicator LED is built into the control button so you'll always know when to recharge the battery. The end of the lamp is magnetic, so it can be easily attached to anything iron. The luminaire is powered by digitally regulated constant current to guarantee constant light output even when the voltage in the batteries is reduced (when they are slowly discharged).

The all-metal construction ensures high durability, optimal cooling and is also fully waterproof according to IP68 standard up to a depth of 2 meters underwater. Durability is enhanced by a stainless steel protective cap around the reflectors. The practicality of the headlamp is enhanced by the ability to remove the light from the head holder and use it as a pocket or work lamp. In addition, the headlamp is equipped with a steel detachable buckle, so you can easily attach it to your pocket or strap. The Fenix HM71R multifunctional flashlight is appreciated by cavers, mountain guides, ski mountaineers, climbers, cyclists, rescue workers, mountain guards, but also by repairers and industrial workers, hikers and fishermen, for example. All luminaire parameters (luminous flux, battery life, waterproofness, range, and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009.

Parameters of rechargeable headlamp Fenix HM71R:
- Premium performance LED Luminus SFT-70 with daylight tint (approx. 6000 K) and LED Luminus SST-20 with CRI 90 and neutral tint (approx. 4000 K) are used, both with a lifetime of 50000 hours.

Application:
- There may be an insulating cap on the battery inside the luminaire at the factory. Remove it from the battery before first use.

• The off headlamp is switched on to the last used remote reflector mode by holding the button for 0.5 seconds (except when switched off in the highest mode, then the next time it is switched on in the second highest mode).
• The off headlamp is switched to the lowest mode (5 lumens) of the wide reflector by pressing the button twice quickly.
• The headlamp is switched off by holding the button for 0.5 seconds.
• When the headlamp is switched on, it is possible to switch between the main and wide reflector by holding the button for 1.2 seconds. It is not possible to run both reflectors at the same time.

- If the headlamp is switched on, the power modes can be cyclically switched by short presses of the button in the sequence 50 - 200 - 800 - 2700 lumens (when the high beam reflector is switched on) or 5 - 50 - 200 - 500 lumens (when the wide beam reflector is switched on). The lamp has a memory for the remote reflector and will always turn on in the last set mode (except when turned off in the highest mode, then the next time it will turn on in the second highest mode). For a wide reflector, it always starts in the lowest mode.
- Indication of the battery charge status: after a short press of the button (the headlamp must be switched off), the LED indicator in the button is activated. If the indicator LED is green, the battery is more than 80% charged. Green flashing means 50-80% capacity. If it glows red, it is 20-50% charged. Red flashing indicates that less than 20% of the battery capacity remains.
- Locking the headlamp against unwanted switching on: loosen the battery cap of the headlamp by a quarter turn, this breaks the electrical contact and the headlamp cannot be switched on. The button can also be locked electronically - hold the button down for 3 seconds when the headlamp is switched off. After locking, the lamp flashes four times. To unlock, hold the button again for 3 seconds.
- Overheating protection: if the temperature of the headlamp exceeds 65 °C, it will automatically start to reduce the power in gradual steps until the temperature is stabilized. Once the temperature drops below 65 °C, the highest power modes can be used again.
- Low battery alert: If the battery voltage drops below the set level, the headlamp will automatically switch to lower power modes. If the headlamp is already switched to the lowest power mode and the battery is critically low, the indicator in the button will flash red. However, the headlamp will continue to shine until the battery is fully discharged.
- Plug the charging cable into the USB connector on your computer, the USB to mains adapter or the USB to car adapter. On the headband, flip off the rubber cap and plug the cable into the USB-C charging port. During charging, the indicator light in the button glows red, when charging is complete it glows green. The headlamp can be used in the lowest high beam mode during charging, but the charging time will be adequately extended. Charging a fully discharged Fenix ARB-L21-5000 V2.0 battery takes approximately 4 hours (using a 5V/2A power supply).

Warning:

• Do not disassemble the sealed part in the lamp head yourself, this will breach the warranty.
• If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after prolonged use, replace them. The rings also need to be lubricated to prevent erosion of the rubber. By following these rules, the luminaire will be properly protected against water.
• If the lamp is flickering, not switching to higher power modes, or not lighting up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
  • The battery is almost dead - charge it or replace it.
  • The contacts inside the lamp are dirty - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
  • The rear of the lamp is loose - tighten it.
