Petzl QUARK is a universal ice axe designed for technical mountaineering and ice climbing. Its balance and ICE tip allow for a solid hit in any type of ice. The TRIGREST and GRIPREST armrests facilitate handling and comfort in every situation. They provide a more effective grip in difficult sections. The QUARK cap is fully modular in design and easily adapts to technical, varied terrain: snow couloirs, cornices, north faces, glaciers.

Universal pickaxe:

-curved handle under the head and GRIPREST QUARK grip on the underside protects hands from ice abrasion
-the handle has a steel tip at the lower end and is straight enough for use in piolet-Canne mode
-the handle is hydroformed for optimal grip in the middle
-precision-moulded handle made of two materials ensures good grip and insulates against cold
-tRIGREST QUARK and GRIPREST QUARK bolsters improve support in difficult passages
-550 g with hammer or spatula, PANNE, MARTEAU

Effective in any type of ice:

-the ICE tip tapers to the tip (3.3 mm) and is universal for all conditions: snow, ice and mixes
-mASSELOTTE weights can be used on the spikes to adjust the weight and improve the inertia at the hit
