Camp X-Light is a very light, well-balanced and durable jacket for technical mountaineering. You stand at the end of a path through an icy groove with spikes stuck in the ice, contemplating the ascent of the final snow-and-ice climb. You advance and use a chakan stuck up to your head in the snow to negotiate the edge, thus securing some foothold and rolling over onto the snow plateau. From there, use the chakan shovel to build a station in the firmament with an anchor and belay point for picking up your partner. Then you ascend to the summit cross and enjoy a well-deserved rest. The X-Light chakan differs from the climbing chakans by the angle of attack, which in this version is better for a smaller slope angle - for fast technical ascent/descent. The aluminium head allows mounting of both the blade (included in the base) and the hammer (CAMP X-Light Hammer). The hole in the pommel and tip allows the use of a standard loop and the hole in the spike is large enough for the attachment of lanyards (X-gyro Leash). The three-piece handle provides several adjustment variations for perfect adjustment to the selected terrain. The tip of the X-Light is toothless, so there is no damage to the gloves when leaning in the field. X-Light is the most versatile chakan for classic technical mountaineering of all difficulties.
