Rope Beal Tiger 10mm is a soft and light rope with a diameter of 10mm certified as a single rope only. It is referred to as a milestone between thick and thin rope. The Tiger 10mm is just of the most used sand ropes from the Beal brand just because of the reinforced braid. All Tiger ropes are variants of the UNICORE equipment, which increases both the safety and durability of the rope thanks to the connection of the core and the braid.

UNICORE ® technology
It represents a unique way of connecting the core and braid of the rope without loss of pliability, while maintaining all the dynamic properties of the rope. the result is increased safety and durability of BEAL climbing ropes.

How does UNICORE® work?
The braid of the rope can be cut or cut through, but it still remains firmly connected to the core, allowing the climber to safely rappel or ascend. When the braid is cut through the edge of a regular rope, which is often the case in the mountains, the braid will collapse and the core will be reduced in size by up to several metres. It is then not possible to climb or abseil over this section of rope. A rope with such a damaged braid can be used at most for an emergency escape, but it is certainly not safe for further climbing. UNICORE® technology has completely eliminated the sliding braid and is particularly useful for alpine climbing in wet snow and ice, where the risk of braid sliding increases considerably.

What is DRY COVER technology
It is impregnation braided, which greatly increases its resistance to odor and moisture penetration or wear. When the rope is manufactured, an impregnating solution is applied to each fibre of the braided yarn, followed by heating, during which polymerisation takes place, and a durable layer is formed to protect each fibre. These fibres then form a compact braid which increases the life of the rope.
Testing in a real environment showed that 100m of rope without impregnation, used in winter conditions, absorbs around 2.5 litres of water during the day. The same rope with Dry Cover impregnation absorbs five times less water in normal conditions, i.e. only 0.5 litres.
