Waterproof Tents

Nepremokavé stany majú tropiko vybavené zväčša silikónizovaným záterom, ktorý cez seba neprepúšťa vodu. Tým pádom je stanu zaručené odolnosť voči vode. O akej takej vodeodolnosti môžeme hovoriť, ak látka odolá tlaku aspoň 1000 mm vodného stĺpca. Označujeme ju ako 1000 mm. Je to hodnota tlaku vody, kde už látka stanu prepustí vodu. Vodeodolnosť ovplyvňujú aj iné faktory: prudšie dažde, alebo búrky,ktoré vyvíjajú silnejší tlak, ako tiché dažde. Aby si si bol istý tým, že tvoj stan odolá aj dlhšiemu a prudšiemu dažďu, odporúčame ti zvloliť stan s vodným stĺpcom minimálne 3000 mm. Podlaha stanu býva zvačša hrubšia oproti tropiku a disponuje vyššou hodnotou vodého stĺpca, aby neprepustila vodu aj pod tlakom tvojho tela a výstoje.
