Product description

The Fenix PD40R V2.0 rechargeable flashlight offers a great light output of up to 3000 lumens (ANSI) and a range of 405 meters in a pocket size of less than 14 centimeters. Also included is a rechargeable 21700 Li-ion battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh, which is charged directly in the flashlight via a modern USB-C connector. The Fenix PD40R V2.0 luminaire has five different lighting modes, which are easily switched by means of a rotary ring on the head of the luminaire. On the lowest mode , it can shine for up to 88 hours, which is almost 4 days of continuous shining. There is also a strobe flash mode for crisis situations.

The luminaire is powered by digitally regulated constant current to guarantee constant light output even when the voltage in the batteries is reduced (when they are slowly discharged). In addition, the luminaire is equipped with a battery charge indication next to the charging connector. The Fenix PD40R V2.0 luminaire impresses not only with its compact dimensions, but also with its truly extreme light output. The flashlight is particularly suitable for moving in opaque terrain, search operations, surveillance, daily carry and general home use.

All luminaire parameters (luminous flux, battery life, waterproofness, range, and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009.

Use

There may be a black insulating cap on the battery inside the luminaire at the factory, remove it before first use. To switch on, turn the control ring to the right. Changing modes is done by turning the control ring (to increase power to the right, to decrease power to the left). The stroboscope is located in the rightmost position. To turn the lamp off, turn the ring to the leftmost position.

Intelligent overheating protection - if the temperature of the luminaire rises above 65°C, it automatically starts to reduce the power in gradual steps, once the temperature of the luminaire drops below 65°C, the power will gradually increase again.

Indication of thebattery charge status - every time the power is switched on, the indication LED next to the charging connector is activated for three seconds. If the indicator LED is green, the battery is more than 85% charged. Green flashing indicates 50-85% capacity. If it glows red, it is 25-50% charged. Red flashing indicates that less than 25% of the battery capacity remains.

Charging - remove the rubber cap of the charging connector on the side of the lamp and plug in the included cable (USB-C connector), plug the other end of the cable into a computer or USB adapter to the mains or car. During charging, the indicator next to the charging connector lights up red. When fully charged, the light turns green. Charging a fully discharged battery takes approx. 3 hours (with 2A power supply).

Low battery warning - the flashlight automatically switches to the lowest mode and the indicator LED in the side button starts flashing red.

Notice

• Do not disassemble the sealed parts in the luminaire head yourself, this will violate the warranty.
• If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after prolonged use, replace them. The rings also need to be lubricated to prevent erosion of the rubber. By following these rules, the luminaire will be properly protected against water.
• If the lamp flickers, does not switch to higher power modes or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
  • The battery is dead, charge it.
  • The contacts inside the light are clogged - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
  • The rear of the lamp is loose, tighten it.

Five years warranty on the lamp, two years warranty on the battery.
