Fenix HM23

Product description

Headlamp Fenix HM23 offers very decent parameters, light weight (only 60 grams) and a favorable price, which predestines the HM23 for a range of sports, leisure, work and casual activities. Good for evening road running, camping, hiking, fishing and hunting.

The headlamp offers a luminous flux of up to 240 lumens (ANSI) and a range of 53 meters. A single AA battery is used for power, with which it achieves a battery life of up to 100 hours in the lowest mode (more than 4 days). The light source is a high-end Cree LED with a warmer shade of light (neutral white). The advantage of this shade of light is a more natural and contrasting colour rendering in nature. With a precision-engineered aluminium alloy body and a durable silicone mount, the HM23 is shockproof from drops of up to 2 metres and also fully dustproof and waterproof to IP68 standard. The headlamp offers a total of three power modes and electronics with the function of prolonging the endurance, in the 240 and 70 lumens modes gradually reduces the power to achieve a longer duration of light (see the chart of endurance in individual modes).

Very decent parameters, light weight (only 60 grams) and reasonable price predestines the HM23 for a wide range of sports, leisure, work and casual activities. Good for evening road running, camping, hiking, fishing and hunting. It also serves as a standby car flashlight for unplanned situations and thanks to its high durability, it is also suitable as a working headlamp for harsh conditions. The Fenix HM23 headlamp is the successor to the popular Fenix HL20, Fenix HL21, HL22 and HL23 headlamps. All luminaire parameters (luminous flux, battery life, waterproofness, range, and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009.

Headlamp parameters Fenix HM23:
- It uses a powerful Cree XP-G3 LED with a warmer light shade (neutral white) and a lifetime of 50000 hours.
- Three power modes: measured with included alkaline battery: 4 lumens (100 hours) -> 70 lumens (16 hours) -> 240 lumens (8 hours)
Wide continuous cone with a range of up to 53 metres (702 cd)
- Electronics with function of prolonging the illumination time (gradual power reduction) and protection against reverse insertion of batteries.
- It uses one pencil battery (AA type - alkaline, lithium or rechargeable NiMH). These batteries are cheap and widely available. Not compatible with ARB-L14-1600U (battery will not sustain the highest mode and shuts down).
- Energizer L91 Ultimate Lithium pencil batteries (especially suitable for extreme conditions and expeditions) provide the longest battery life.
- Convenient control with one electronic switch on the side of the headlamp.
- The headlamp always switches to the lowest power mode.
- The headlamp can be tilted in the holder in a wide range and thus set the desired direction of light.
- Made of T6 type aircraft hardened aluminium, the holder is silicone.
- Shock-resistant to falls from a height of 2 metres.
- Weight 60 grams (without batteries).
- Headlamp dimensions: 6,95 cm x 4 cm x 3,2 cm.
- Dustproof and waterproof to IP68 standard (tested underwater at a depth of 2 meters).
- Includes headlamp, disposable alkaline battery and spare ring.
- The headlamp can be purchased with a case Fenix APB-20 and a set of black straps AFH-02 without reflective elements. Suitable for hunting, military or police, for example.

Application:
Unscrew the battery tube cap. Insert the battery with the plus pole towards the headlamp, the minus towards the cap.
- The headlamp is switched on and off by holding the button (approx. 0.5 seconds). Pressing the button switches the light modes in the sequence 4 - 70 - 240 lumens. The headlamp is always switched on in the lowest mode.
- Unintentional switching on of the headlamp when transporting in luggage is easily prevented by loosening the battery cap by about a quarter turn.

Warning:
- Do not disassemble the sealed parts yourself, this will violate the warranty.
- Remove the battery from the luminaire if you will not be using it for a long time or if it is discharged. Otherwise, especially with disposable batteries, the headlamp may leak and be damaged.
- If the headlamp blinks, does not switch to higher modes or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
- The batteries are almost dead - replace them.
- The battery tube cap is loose, tighten it.
- The electrical contacts are dirty - clean them with a cotton bud dipped in alcohol.
- Warranty five years.
