Product description

The second generation of the extremely powerful Fenix HP30R V2.0 headlamp offers unrivalled power of up to 3000 lumens (ANSI) and a range of 270 metres . Excellent performance was achieved by using the powerful XHP50 LED and a pair of XP-G3 S4 LEDs with a warmer light tint. The headlamp is equipped with a high beam reflector and a pair of smaller reflectors with a wide cone of light. The two spotlights are controlled separately, but can also be operated simultaneously in combined mode. It uses two 21700 5000 mAh Li-ion batteries for power, which are included and can be recharged directly in the battery case via the USB-C connector.

The batteries are housed in a separate case on an adjustable cable that can be worn on the back of the neck, placed on a belt, in a pocket or backpack. This increases wearing comfort and in winter the batteries are better protected against frost. The battery case is equipped with a battery capacity indicator and USB output, so you can also use it as a portable power bank to charge your mobile phone or GPS navigation.

The headlamp offers a total of 11 power modes. In the lowest mode with 50 lumens, it provides an excellent endurance of up to 120 hours (i.e. 5 days). The headlamp is powered by a digitally regulated constant current to guarantee constant light output even when the voltage in the batteries is reduced (when they are slowly discharging). The HP30R V2.0 is particularly suitable for cross-country skiing, ski mountaineering, night running, cycling, fishing, caving, expeditions and other activities.

The body of the headlamp is made of aluminium alloy used in the aerospace industry. This ensures excellent cooling and resistance to damage.

All headlamp parameters (luminous flux, battery life, waterproofness, range, and shock resistance) are measured in accordance with ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009.

- Combination mode produces a light cone with a range of 270 metres (17933 cd), the main beam illuminates up to 251 metres (15733 cd) and the wide beam illuminates up to 78 metres (1513 cd).

Using the headlamp Fenix HP30R V2.0
From the factory, there may be a white insulating cap inside the battery case on the batteries. Remove it from the batteries before first use.

Control - the headlamp is controlled by a rotary switch. In its central position, the headlamp is switched off.

- remote reflector - to turn on the remote reflector, turn the switch clockwise, the headlamp turns on to the lowest power mode and turns up the power to the highest mode. Turning it back decreases the power.
- wide reflectors - when the switch is turned counterclockwise, two LEDs for a wide cone of light are switched on from the lowest to the highest mode, in the opposite direction the power is reduced.
- to activate the combination mode, you must switch on one of the main modes (remote or wide) and briefly press the button on the side of the switch. The output of the combined mode is then reduced or increased in accordance with the originally selected circuit. Combination mode can be switched off partially by pressing the side button (switches off one of the circuits) or completely by turning to the centre position.

The length of the cable connecting the headlamp to the battery case can be increased using the included extension cable. Connect and disconnect the connectors in a circular motion, do not pull them apart by force. After replacing the batteries, tighten the tightening screw on the battery case thoroughly to ensure good water resistance.

Battery status indication - pressing the button on the battery case activates the battery capacity indicator (four lit diodes 80-100%, three diodes 60-80%, two diodes 40-60%, one diode 20-40%, one flashing diode indicates less than 20% battery capacity).

Charging - flip off the rubber cap of the USB-C connector on the side of the headlamp and use the included USB-C cable to plug it into your computer, USB AC adapter or USB car adapter. Alternatively, any mobile phone charger with a USB-C connector can be used for charging. During charging, the indicator LEDs on the battery case flash, after a full charge they are permanently lit. Charging fully discharged batteries takes about 4.5 hours.

To activate the USB output (power bank function), connect the device you want to charge and press the button on the battery case. Activation of the USB output is indicated by flashing LEDs on the housing.

Intelligent overheating protection - if the temperature of the headlamp rises above 60 °C, it will automatically start to reduce power until the temperature stabilizes. As soon as the temperature drops below 60 °C, the power is automatically increased again. Operation at the highest power modes is thus not limited by time, but only by temperature.

Notice

- Do not disassemble the sealed parts yourself, this will violate the warranty.
- Use only high-quality Li-ion batteries to avoid damaging the headlamp, for example due to battery leakage.
- If the headlamp is flickering, not switching to higher power modes, or not lighting up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
The batteries are almost dead - charge them or replace them.
- Make sure that the connector on the cable between the headlamp and the battery case is firmly connected.
- The contacts in the battery holder are dirty - clean them with a cotton bud dipped in alcohol.
