Thanks to the construction of the feather fabric, there is no further migration of feathers through the top or bottom fabric. It is therefore possible to combine this insulation with the highly breathable Pertex Quantum Air outer material to create a very warm, highly breathable and extremely lightweight insulating jacket that is suitable either as a top jacket or as a base layer under hardshell clothing. The hood is insulated with synthetic insulation to speed up drying in case of wetness or sweating.
